Carson City road report for week of Oct. 27 to Nov. 2

Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of Oct. 27 to Nov. 2, 2025. Closures and lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road and utility work.

See the interactive map here and go here for updates. Crews plan to have the underground utility at work at Carson and William streets completed by Thursday, Oct. 30 before the Nov. 1 Nevada Day celebration.

Access to Mills Park from the Oxoby Loop will be closed at William Street, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

5th Street between Stewart Street and Plaza Street will be closed nightly from October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

7th Street between Stewart Street and Plaza Street will be closed nightly from October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

The Carson Street/William Street intersection will be closed to traffic from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Park Street between Curry Street and Carson Street will be closed from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Plaza Street between 5th Street and 7th Street will be closed nightly from October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Plaza Street between John Street and Washington Street will be closed from October 20, 2025, to November 7, 2025, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

William Street between Carson Street and Stewart Street will be closed to traffic from Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Note: Many streets in Downtown Carson City will be closed in observance of the Nevada Day Parade – Saturday, all day.

Lane restrictions are expected at the following locations due to road/utility work:
5th Street between Stewart Street and Plaza Street will have lane restrictions on October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

7th Street between Stewart Street and Plaza Street will have lane restrictions on October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Carson Street between Washington Street and Adams Street will have lane restrictions from Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Mountain Street between Winnie Lane and Ivy Street will have lane restrictions from Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Plaza Street between 5th Street and 7th Street will have lane restrictions on October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Roop Street between Washington Street and John Street will have lane restrictions and shifts from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Stewart Street between 5th Street and 8th Street will have lane restrictions on October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Stewart Street between 5th Street and 8th Street will have reduced lanes nightly from October 27, 2025, to November 3, 2025, 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Stewart Street between King Street and 5th Street will have lane restrictions on October 31, 2025, from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm.

William Street between Stewart Street and Saliman Road will have restricted lanes from Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.

Winnie Lane between Mountain Street and Division Street will have lane restrictions from Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
