Carson City husband and wife take 1st and 2nd place in California arm wrestling tourney

Terry and Tara Kilfian of Carson City, who are founders of Breaking Addictions Ministries — also known as BAM — competed and won first and second place medals last month in the Kenny Hughes Memorial Arm Wrestling Tournament in Patterson, Calif. Hosted by Bill Collins of The Ultimate Arm Wrestling League, the tourney was held May 31.
Terry Kilfian took first place honors in the Masters 205 Left Arm competition, bringing home a gold medal. Terry’s wife, Tara Kilfian, placed second in Ladies 154 Right Arm competition, bringing home a silver medal.

“This is a huge accomplishment for my husband Terry after his right arm being broken back in September 2024,” said Tara Kilfian. “Terry also had a full right shoulder replacement in March 2025. He is a true soldier of Christ.”
Terry Kilfian, who often quotes Scripture, said the following:
“To God be the Glory…My strength comes from the Lord,” and notes in the Bible, 2 Timothy 2:3, “You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
