Carson City Historical Society receives $5,000 donation from local couple

The Carson City Historical Society is proud to acknowledge a generous donation of $5,000 from longtime supporters Andrea and Walter Hobbs.

This contribution comes at a critical time, reaffirming the importance of preserving and celebrating Carson City’s rich heritage.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to Andrea and Walter,” said Liz Cain, President of the Society. “Their gift not only sustains our ongoing work — it empowers us to grow and expand our efforts in meaningful ways.”

In addition to their financial generosity, the Hobbses have long been dedicated volunteers and advocates. Their ongoing involvement, particularly with the Foreman-Roberts House Museum, has inspired greater community engagement and fostered a deeper appreciation for local history.

“Their passion and commitment have made a lasting impact,” the Cain added. “We are profoundly grateful for their support and enduring friendship.”

The Carson City Historical Society remains committed to preserving the stories and structures that define the region’s cultural legacy. Donations like this ensure that mission continues for generations to come.
