Carson City Fire Department called to fire at motel on Stewart Street

UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Tuesday afternoon to a structure fire at the 323 Flats motel on North Stewart Street.

Firefighters responded at around 3:10 p.m. to the fire, which was reported in a room. All tenants were evacuated, according to first responders on scene. The fire produced smoke visible in the area.

It was knocked down after firefighters arrived, according to Carson City Fire Chief Sean Slamon. The cause is under investigation and crews remain on scene.
