By Ronni Hannaman — Desert Design Carpet One recently opened at 1440 S. Curry in Carson City to provide expert flooring design for those wishing to upgrade their flooring.
Owned and operated by entrepreneur Kayla Simons, the new store is bright and inviting showcasing the many options available in today’s wood, tile, and carpet flooring design.
Simons states, “Your floors are the backdrop to every era of your life,” believing floors should be a source of pride. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on weekends. Phone: 775-299-3958. The staff also works closely with contractors.
Simons also is the CEO and owner of Desert Design Carpet One in Elko and in Winnemucca where she and her family reside. She also owns and is the CEO of Stunned Photography in Winnemucca.
Soon, a second ribbon cutting will be held in late summer at 2290 East William Street to introduce The Floor Trader Outlet where shoppers can save on in-stock and ready-to-go flooring “at the right price.” The new store will fill the long vacant space once occupied by Ace Hardware and will be a welcome addition.
— Ronni Hannaman is Executive Director of the Carson City Chamber of Commerce.
