Candy Dance is this weekend, Sept. 27 and 28, bringing sugary treats, home made crafts, live music and dancing to the Sierra foothills!
There will be a lot of cars heading to our small town. The entrance to the town is closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days – come early, and head for one of these public lots:
Genoa Lane, Foothill Road (south of Genoa) and the Genoa Cemetery on Jacks Valley Road (north of Genoa).
Free shuttles run between the parking lots and the Faire between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The shuttles can accommodate wheelchairs.
Arriving south from Carson City: We recommend the Genoa Lane lot, which is the biggest lot. Turn right from US Highway 395 on to Genoa Lane. Be prepared for delays as traffic usually backed up for 15 to 20 minutes along the highway.
Arriving north from Minden/Gardnerville: Take MULLER LANE to Foothill Road and turn north on Foothill Road to Genoa. GENOA LANE is CLOSED for LEFT TURNS from US Highway 395.
Genoa Cemetery Parking Lot/Jacks Valley Road: This is our smallest parking lot, and is usually full by 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. We highly recommend using the Genoa Lane lot instead.
