Calvin Barnes, Sr.

Mr. Calvin Draper Barnes, Sr., 74, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

Calvin was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bonnie and Leon Peffer; wife, Linda Barnes; sister, Penny Barnes and his son, Charles Rhodes, Sr.

He is survived by his brother, Terry Peffer (Susan); his children, Virginia Rhodes (Robert), Karen Clark (Ronnie), Kimberly Johnson (Van), Robert Rhodes, Donna Dailey (Steve), Bonnie Barnes (Mark), Calvin Barnes, Jr. and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Tucker Funerals and Cremations, 415 Halifax St. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Tucker Celebration of Life Chapel followed by a burial at Mount Sinai Community Cemetery in Prince George, VA.
