Brenda Rice

Brenda Kay Rice of Saratoga Springs passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was 67.
Born in Rochester, on October 3, 1957, daughter of the late Ralph and Betty Jean (Bastian) Watson. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Rice.
Brenda was a retired teacher for the North Rose-Wolcott Elementary School in Wolcott, NY. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her pets and family. Brenda will be missed for her sense of humor, generosity and willingness to listen.
Survivors include her son Nicholas (Chrissy) LaShomb, and grandchildren Nicholas Jr, Brandi, and Rylee of Sodus. Her daughter, Clair (Alex) Schulz, and grandson Levi of Clifton Park, step-daughter Marcia LaShomb, siblings Lynn Seewald, Janine Camardo, Brian Watson, and her late brother Bruce Watson. She leaves behind extended family including aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be from 10-11am on Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater with a memorial service to be held at 11am in the funeral home.
