Brenda Butler

Brenda Butler died October 5th at Franklin Hospital in Benton, IL after a battle with cancer. She was born in Thompsonville, Illinois on November 19, 1939 to James and Audrey Bonucchi. She was married to Lucky Butler and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughters Renee Goodson and Gena (Bobby) Poole, and honorary daughter Nola Denham. Granddaughters Chelsea Goodson and Taylor Poole, one grandson Scott (Shelby) Goodson, 2 great grandsons Jonas and Maes Goodson. Also surviving is a brother, Butch ( Chris ) Bonucchi and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lucky Butler, daughter Michelle Butler, Son in Law Allen Goodson and great grandson Roman Goodson and by a brother Barry Bonucchi

She loved performing in local community productions such as The Music Man and Fiddler on the Roof. She became a star when she was cast in the move U.S. Marshals.

She enjoyed traveling and cruising around the world.

A celebration of Life Service will be held Friday October 10th at 1:00 PM at Parker Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Pastor Rodney Briscoe officiating. Visitation will be Friday October 10th from 11:00 A.M to the time of the service. Burial will be in the Denning Cemetery

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital or Franklin County Animal Shelter and will be accepted at the funeral home.
