Bonnie Smith

Bonnie Smith was born September 11,1947 to Joe and Flora (Maw) Smith in Temple, TX. She was a loving mother of seven children but raised three daughters. She resided in Willis, TX for more than 25 years. She was a woman of faith and the Lord. She trusted him until the end. She loved to sit outside on the porch drinking her coffee and watching the birds every day. She had a heart for her family and her animals. She was known as the “Cat Whisperer” in the Montgomery County animal shelters. She was full of joy, life, and embraced what life had given to her with grace. She was always there for her family when they needed her to lend an ear, an encouraging word, or just to make someone laugh. Bonnie was truly a woman that sacrificed her own needs for the ones she loved. She was a strong mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Bonnie is survived by her loving family: children: Renee and Marvin (Pepper), Diana Luce and Charles Ray, Sara Wilson, John (stepson) and Kelly Weller; Grandchildren: Alice Marie Gibbs, Billy and Margie Gibbs, Larry Gibbs, Manny and Megan Gibbs, Tabbatha Davis, Robert Sikes Jr., Ashley Sikes, Mathew Sikes, Harley Soloya (deceased), David Wilson, William Wilson, Randy Wilson, Michela and Nicholas Elmore, Lillian Michelle Weller, McKenzie Newton, and Tristan Newton; 18 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
