Bonnie Pierce Godsey
Bonnie Lee Pierce Godsey passed away on July 9, 2025 in Hendersonville, NC, at the age of 91. She was born in Midwest, Natrona County, Wyoming on May 25, 1934.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, George W. Godsey; her parents, William Lee and Jennie Otelie Pierce; brothers Lyle and Duane Pierce and sister, Joyce McKune. She is survived by her two children, Grant and LeAnn, seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and friends.
She grew up on her parents’ grape farm in Kennewick, Washington. After high school graduation in Kennewick, she earned her secretarial degree and then worked at GE’s Hanford Nuclear Reservation, where she met the love of her life, George.
Bonnie married George W. Godsey on October 20, 1962. After several relocations for GE, they established their residence in Hendersonville, NC, in 1968. She enjoyed sewing, painting, reading and family.
She contributed her time and energy for over 50 years to the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 61. She was also a life-long member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Services to honor and remember Bonnie Pierce Godsey will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Hendersonville, NC, Thursday, July 17, at 1 PM with Rev. Dwight Christenbury of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiating.
