Bobbie Trask

Bobbie was born on November 13, 1956 to Curtis and Helen Lewis in Chicago, Illinois. She was the eldest of their three children. Bobbie accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized at an early age at Centennial Missionary Baptist Church. Later she joined Trinity United Church of Christ where she was a member for nearly 30 years. Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Curtis; mother, Helen; and sister, Debra.

Bobbie attended elementary and high school in Chicago. In 1974 she graduated from Calumet High School and began attending classes at Kennedy-King’s College. Years later she continued her education at DePaul University where she earned her B.A. degree in Business Administration. Bobbie worked administrative positions at various companies such as General Foods Corporation, Florsheim Shoes, Certified Collateral Corporation, Southwest Airlines, Northwestern Hospital and The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago where she retired from in 2016.

Bobbie loved being with family and friends, traveling, and watching her favorite television shows. She was always the life of the party. Known for her grand entrances and bringing laughter and joy wherever she went. Her arrival was always eagerly anticipated by family, friends, and colleagues, who cherished her company and her ability to bring joy. Bobbie often said, “I love making people laugh,” and she certainly did. Her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bobbie is survived by her sister, Michelle (Albert Sr.) Macon of Sharpsburg, Georgia. She is also survived by two nephews: Albert Jr. (Alba), Bryant; one niece: Cydney; one great-niece: Alayna; one great-nephew: Ayden; and her former spouse, Matthew Trask. She leaves to cherish her memory a host of relatives, friends and colleagues.
