Beverly Sue “Wells” Mims, 83, of Pikeville KY., passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center. Beverly was born April 4, 1942, to the late Walter Ray and Maxine Rhea Francisco Wells in Pikeville, KY. She was a retired teacher from the Pikeville Independent School System, member of the Pike County Retired Teacher’s Association, more importantly she was a Christian.
She is survived by her husband Charles Edison Mims, four sons, Walter (Cherri) Mims of Pikeville, Ky., Charles Edison II (Mia) Mims of Georgetown, KY, Robert (Vicki) Mims of Hendersonville, TN., John (Kayla) Mims of Bowling Green, Ky, her daughter, Amy Johnson of Pikeville, Ky., nine grandchildren Emily Lucas, Jess Johnson, Charles Martin Mims, Allison Rhea Mims, Alexander Mims, Matthew Edison Mims, Wells Lee Mims, Heath Earle, and Trey Gallegos, several great grandchildren, and three sisters, Jane Wells Amos of Pikeville, KY, Patricia Wells May of Pikeville, KY, Margaret Wells Wallen of Stanville, KY.
Serving as Pallbearers; Jess Johnson, Alexander Mims, Charles Martin Mims, Matthew Edison Mims, Jackson Lucas, and Jacob Lucas.
Visitation will be 6 PM-8PM Monday, September, 22, 2025 at J.W. Call and Son Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1PM Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at the funeral home with Chris Bartley officiating.
Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Park at Pikeville KY.
