Beverly (Bev) Archibald, 97, Saint Joseph, MO passed away Wednesday, September 10 at a local healthcare facility.
She was born July 27, 1928 in Saint Joseph, MO. She was a graduate of Central High School in 1946. She planned numerous reunions and monthly luncheons for the Class of ’46.
On June 6, 1948, she married Charles Coventry Archibald. She and her husband owned and operated Archibald Plumbing and Heating for many years.
She was a member of 17th St. Congregation, Community of Christ, for many years. She served as Women’s Leader for the congregation and Far West Stake where she organized countless potlucks and bereavement dinners from planning through cleanup. She volunteered many hours at Second Seasons Shop.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck Archibald, parents Earl and Berniece (Connor) Bell, son Craig Archibald, sister Shirley Maddox, and brother Jerry Bell.
Survivors: son Steve Archibald (Sue), daughter Jennifer Smith (Warren); five grandchildren, Stephanie Compton (Paul), Tracy Muller, Scott Archibald, Chad Smith (Angela), Lindsey Smith; and six great-grandchildren, Rylie and Abbie Parr, Audrey and Kate Muller, Kaylee and Benjamin Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved her Lord, her family, her friends, and had a heart for those in need. Her family and friends will miss her greatly. We “love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!”
Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will gather with friends one hour prior to the service.
