Betty J. (Horn) Mallmann (1934 – 2025)

Betty J. Mallmann age 90 went to the Lord, Saturday, June 14, 2025 surrounded by her family. Betty was born in Sherwood WI on November 27, 1934 daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Horn. Betty married Anthony Mallmann on September 8, 1953 in Sherwood WI. Together they raised two children: Diane (Robert) Binder, Andrews NC and Jeffrey (Lisa) Mallmann of Plymouth WI.

Betty worked at Borden Foods in Plymouth becoming a member of the Quarter Century Club before retiring to Cape Coral FL in 1993. Active retirement included; attending Catholic Mass, reading, jigsaw puzzles, sewing, polka dances, gardening, card playing and watching the Packers. Always an avid walker she could be seen walking daily in or around Pine Haven Prairie Crossing Retirement Home.

Survivors include Betty’s grandchildren: Jason (Crissy) Binder, Jennifer (Roy) Wagner, Josh Mallmann, Jennifer (Jayme) Arndt, Erin (Jason) Townsend, and Kelly (Scott) Rundhaugen. Great-grandchildren: Alexis, Isaac, Shianne, Daniel, Mercedes, Michael, Mayeli, Chase, Jack, Miles, Wesley, Aiden, Henry and 2 great-great grandchildren. In-laws: Raymond & Norbert Mallmann, Theresa (Fritsch), Barbara Mallmann, Julie (Bangart), Margaret (Tikalsky), Charlotte (Heller), Anna Mae (Baer), Dorothy (Mullard) and Shirley Horn.

She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, grandson Jacob Mallmann: Parents brothers and sisters: Norbert (Barbara) Horn, Angie (Greg) Weber, Marie (Norbert) Vandeyacht, Georgie Porter, Marvin Horn and Eugene Horn. Sister and Brothers-in-law: Agnes Dorn, Charles and Edward Mallmann, Gene Fritsch, Donald Mullard, Tom Baer and Donald Heller.

Visitation will be held on Friday June 20th at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 319 Giddings Ave, Sheboygan Falls 53085, family and friends may call at the Church from 4:00-5:30pm, rosary at 5:30pm, Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 pm with Father Subi Thomas officiating. Private burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be put towards My Good Days Fund, which is an organization that helped Betty keep her eyesight when she was suffering from macular degeneration disease. The donations will help patients who can’t afford the treatments to keep their eyesight.
