Ben Miller, 86, went to be with the Lord late in the night on Oct 20. He was a lifelong resident of southern Indiana and had spent the past year in Atlanta, TX where he was a member of the Atlanta Church of God.
He was a veteran of the US Army and had retired from CSX Railroad, in Louisville, KY, where he had served as a train engineer. He later spent 12 years as a correction officer at Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, KY. He enjoyed working on and rebuilding cars. As long as his health permitted, he stayed busy building, remodeling and helping others in many ways. He found great joy in his church family in Atlanta, TX, where he was dearly loved and will be missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Miller (1981) and wife, Sharon Miller (2024), his youngest son Mark, grandson Jacob, his parents Boyd and Opal Miller, sisters, Mary, Sue and Pat, and brothers Robert, Tommy and Danny.
He is survived by his daughter Kim Knox and husband Bobby, son Chris and wife Vickie, Lyndal Hutton and wife Traci, Jeff Hutton, Steve Hutton and wife Susie, Paul Hutton and Jennifer Hutton, grandchildren Amy (Donnie), CJ (Janie), Rebecca (Michael), Amanda (Jordan), Ben (Colin), great-grandchildren Logan, John Paul, Mason, James Luke, Austin, Joseph, and Naomi, as well as many other dear family members.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
