Beatrice V. Hager

August 20, 1964 – October 4, 2025

In Loving Memory

Beatrice Victoria Hager passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital after a long and courageous battle with chronic illnesses. She was born on August 20, 1964, in Columbus, OH to Roy Clarence Hager and Martha Hager (Dean) who both preceded her in death.

Bea served as a Lead Transportation Security Officer for the Department of Homeland Security at the John Glenn Columbus International Airport for 18 years. For a short time, at the end of her career, she was a Master Coordination Center Officer at DHS headquarters in Columbus. She took her oath to her country very seriously and was proud each day when she got to put on her uniform. Bea was a loving and compassionate caretaker to many throughout her life but, most especially, to her Mom and brother Bucky. She was a dedicated and die-hard Cincinnati Bengals fan and always told people that she was “born into it!” Many will agree that her biggest talent was the delicious fudge she made that she sold as the owner of “Aunt Bea’s Fudge” up until COVID caused her to close the business.

Survivors include her wife, Patricia M. Bond of Columbus, OH; sister Barbara [William] Patterson of Benton, KY; brother Roy A. “Bucky” Hager of Columbus, OH; brother Ronald [Leah] Hager of Delaware, OH; brother Henry Hager of Hendersonville, TN; and special and close family Laura and John Wells and Jordan Owens of Pickerington, OH. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including her outstanding TSA family who she held very close to her heart. Bea is preceded in death by sister Gloria Newhart, sister Robin Devary, sister-in-law Cynthia Hager, in-laws Henry and Katherine Bond, and sister-in-law Diane Bond.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral and Cremation Services, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, OH. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM with Pastor Mike Brue officiating. Bea often called herself “just a country girl,” so casual attire is welcomed.

Burial will take place in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with only close family in attendance. Memorials are suggested to the American Liver Foundation. To send condolences or share memories, please visit www.Pfeifer-Woodyard.com.

Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
