Basil Rizakos

     Basil S. Rizakos, Sweetheart and most beloved husband of Win, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025. He was the youngest son of the late Stavros and the late Stratigo Rizakos. Brother of the late Dimitrios (the late Katina), the late John (Georgia), the late Gus (the late Olga). Beloved uncle of Loula Economos (the late George), Sofia Maurukas (Rim), Stratigo and Magdalini Rizakos, Vas and Nik Kefalas. Great uncle of Theo and Yanni Economos and Ana Kefalas. Brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend of many here, in Canada and Greece.

     Basil was a member of AHEPA, Pan-Laconian Brotherhood, Spartia Brotherhood of Chicago and a great bowler on the AHEPA-Bowling League & Laconian-Spartans Team. He received a trophy for High Game Handicap of 303 for the 2013-2014 season. He loved to bowl and was great at it.Special thanks to Ana, Hazel and Justina, Basil’s hospice team for taking such good care of him.

     Visitation Saturday, May 31 2025 from 9am-12pm at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago, IL 60646 with a service at 10am. Interment Private.
