Barbaro Diaz

Barbaro F. Diaz, 69 of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born Wednesday, May 30, 1956 in Artemisa, Cuba, he was the son of the late Armondo Diaz and the late Maria Figueroa Diaz. He was a Captain in the Cuban Army before coming to the USA. His was very proud of his family and adored his grandchildren.

Surviving are sons, Jose Diaz (Monica) of Clarksville, TN and William Diaz of Paducah, KY, daughter, Nancy Strothmann (Patrick) of Jackson, MO; grandchildren, Nathaniel Diaz, Elysia Diaz, Preston Strothmann, Dylan Strothmann, Jackson Diaz, Evah Diaz, Avery Diaz, and Scarlett Diaz; one brother and two sisters; and by his life partner, Bobbie Parker of Paducah, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margarita Marquez Diaz, two brothers and three sisters.

There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home and Cremation Services located at 211 West 5th Street Benton, KY 42025. 270-527-3141.
