Barbara Roach
Barbara Ann Knauss Roach, age 95, passed away May 15th, 2025 in her home at Faribault Senior Living with her family by her side. She was born in Nerstrand, Minnesota, the third child of Willard and Agnes Bergum Knauss on September 9th, 1929. Barbara married Raymond Roach of Faribault on April 2nd, 1950. Shortly after, they moved to California as Ray was stationed there in the Marine Corp. After his service time concluded, they returned to Faribault where they remained and raised their four daughters. Barbara was employed at the Faribault Daily News, The Leader, Ochs Bros, and was the owner and operator of the Janesville Dairy Queen.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, Erland Knauss and David Knauss, her husband Raymond, and son in law, Lynn Elliott. She is survived by her four daughters, Kathryn Elliott of Sun City West, AZ, Patricia (Ron) Hendrickson of Prior Lake, MN, Julie (Peter) Wigersma of Mankato, MN, and Roberta Roach (James McHugo) of Lyle, MN.
She also is survived by a large loving bunch of the greatest grand and great-grandchildren who she adored!
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church (530 4th Street NW, Faribault, MN) at 10:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
