Arthur Robert Volz, aged 91, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Born on May 9, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio, Arthur lived a life of dedication, leaving behind a legacy that will inspire generations to come.

Arthur’s journey was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family, his work, and his many interests. After serving his country with honor during the Korean Conflict as a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Arthur pursued higher education and graduated from Broward Junior College in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

For over 25 years, Arthur was the proud owner of Advanced Welding in Asheville, where his leadership and expertise left an indelible mark on his community. Beyond his professional achievements, Arthur was a man of diverse passions. He was an avid artist whose creativity knew no bounds, and he found immense joy in the mysteries of the cosmos, nurturing a lifelong passion for astronomy. His love for Italian cuisine, particularly his cherished visits to Olive Garden, brought him joy and warmth shared with those he loved.

Arthur’s faith journey included being a former member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where he found community and spiritual nourishment.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Volz and Bernice Beniger Volz, and his sister, Sondra Loveday. He is survived by his children, Sherri (Paul) Orciani, Linda Volz, and Robert Volz, Jr. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jared (Amy), Leah (Tommy), Chelsea, and Shaun, and several great-grandchildren; and his loving cat, “Bobo.”

In the hearts of his family and friends, Arthur Robert Volz’s spirit endures—a beacon of inspiration, love, and enduring curiosity. His memory remains a guiding light, reminding us to live fully, love deeply, and always reach for the stars. Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville has the honor of serving the family.
