Anthony  Washington

Anthony D. Washington was born on July 12, 1960 in Memphis, TN., to Catherine Washington and Cleotha Talley. Tony, as he preferred to go by, attended schools within the Kansas City area and attended Job Corps. He also received a Certificate of Achievement from The Rehabilitation Institute for Job Seeking Skills Class on January 19, 1984. He held various part-time jobs as a hotel dishwasher.

Tony attended St. Peter C.M.E. Church in KCKS for many years before moving his membership to Metropolitan Baptist Temple in KCKS on March 7, 2012 where he happily served as a member of the Usher Board.

Tony loved spending time with his family, especially with his favorite cousin Franchette. He loved playing video games, watching movies, listening to music (Michael Jackson was his favorite artist) and most of all, he loved to eat.

Preceding him in death are his mother, Catherine; father, Cleotha; sister, Sarah Ann Washington; step-brother, Chris Talley; uncles Louis Jones, Frank McClough, Raymond Washington and Rev. Claude L. Webb, Sr.; aunts Dorothy Washington-Jones, Vera L. Taylor and Precious Australia Webb; cousins Jerome Taylor, Marketta McClough-Carson and Franchette M. McClough.

Left to cherish his memory are: brother, Deonte Talley; step-sister, Sherri (Michael) Dunlap; niece, Tamika (Byron) McDaniel; uncle, Jerry Talley; aunts Mildred (Chester) Hancock, Glennie Glass and Jo (Hamilton) Terrell; special aunts Reccie Cooper and Christine M. McClough; special cousins Carol (Anthony) Black, Jo Ann (James) Jackson and Nelson Webb, Jr. He has two great-nieces as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
