Anthony Dwight “Nick” McAdams, age 75, of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, October 25, 2025, at UK-Saint Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, Kentucky, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 1, 1950, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a son of the late Edgar Ray and Kathryn Leona Tolle McAdams.
Nick proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was of the Pentecostal faith. He enjoyed reading the Bible, preaching, singing and playing the piano, going to church, drinking his buttermilk, eating his cream horns, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Timothy McAdams, Daniel McAdams, James McAdams and one sister, Raeann Howard McAdams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Anita Bowles McAdams; two sons, Jerimey McAdams of Richmond, Kentucky, Antonio McAdams of Maysville, Kentucky; four daughters, Brandi McKinley of Bruce, Mississippi, Beth McAdams of Black Oak, Kentucky, Krista Marcum of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Adrienne Wheeler of Lexington, Kentucky; eighteen grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; two brothers, John McAdams of Ironriver, Michigan, Lanny McAdams of Tollesboro, Kentucky; four sisters, Pauletta Logan of Hillsdale, Michigan, Sherry McAdams, Regina Carroll, both of Ashland, Kentucky, Twylla James of Greenup, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss him.
We would like to give a special recognition to Michael Wilson for being his caregiver and friend.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Dickerson Funeral Home, 110 West Second Street, Vanceburg, Kentucky, with Pastor Jason Thurman Jr., and Brother J.R. Hampton officiating Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lewis County, Kentucky.
Friends may visit after 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2025, until the service hour at Dickerson Funeral Home.
Kaden Wheeler, Jesse James, Cory Carroll, Eric Smith Il, Loran Smith and Austin Tumlin will serve as pallbearers.
