Anthony M. Barbato, a cherished family man and respected electrical engineer, passed away on June 21, 2025, in Stroudsburg, PA, at the age of 73. Born on January 31, 1952, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Salvatore and Lucy (Difillipis) Barbato, Anthony’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and kindness.
Anthony’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his family and his profession. He was the beloved husband of the late Rosaria Barbato and brother to his late brothers Christopher and Sal Barbato. Anthony’s legacy lives on through his children, Cody Barbato and Melissa Morrell, and his adored grandchildren, Julianna and Nicholas, who were the greatest joy of his life. His sister-in-law, Joyce Imbrosci, along with many dear friends, will fondly remember him.
After completing his education, Anthony embarked on a successful career as an Electrical Engineer Inspector for ConEdison, where he was not only respected for his expertise but also for his integrity and work ethic. His meticulous work and dedication to safety left a lasting impact on the industry.
Family was the cornerstone of Anthony’s life and his grandchildren were his greatest joy. He was an avid reader, boasting a vast collection of books that spanned various genres and topics. His love for fishing and listening to music provided him with moments of tranquility and reflection, while his enjoyment of spending time with family and friends filled his life with laughter, happiness and memories that would last a lifetime.
Anthony M. Barbato’s life was a beautiful narrative of love, family, and service. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate the enduring impact he has made on the world around him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love that he so freely gave during his time with us. Anthony’s presence will be deeply missed, but his influence will continue to resonate in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025 at Cargain Funeral Home, 418 Route 6 (GPS US-6), Mahopac, NY.
During the Memorial Gathering, there will be a Prayer Service & Blessing to honor Anthony’s life at 6:00 p.m.
Private cremation has already taken place.
