It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anne Burke Neglia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on May 30, 2025, in New Rochelle, NY. She was 77 years old.
Anne was born on April 25, 1948, in New Rochelle, NY, to the late Francis and Louise Burke. She grew up in New Rochelle, where she formed lasting friendships and cherished memories. Throughout her life, Anne’s love for her family was unwavering, and her devotion to them was felt by all who knew her.
Anne was married to Richard Neglia, with whom she shared a life filled with love and companionship. She was a proud mother to her son, David Neglia, and deeply mourned the passing of her daughter Holly and son Jay. Anne’s heart shone brightest in the presence of her three grandchildren, Anthony, Sofia, and Rosie, who brought her immense joy and pride.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; her son, David; grandchildren, Anthony, Sofia, and Rosie; her three sisters, Jane Burke, Ellen Zito, and Mary Louise Cacase; and her brothers, Stephen, Edward, and Frank. Anne was predeceased by her siblings James, Patrick, Peter, Barry, and Sheila, whose memories she carried with her always.
A woman of quiet strength and grace, Anne was a devoted sister and friend who touched the lives of many. She had a warm, caring nature and was always there for those who needed her. Her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on June 10, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm, at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons in New Rochelle. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Anne’s memory.
