On April 13, 2025, Andrew M. Horvath Jr. entered the arms of Jesus. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Delores and father Andrew as well as his cherished puppies, Jessie, Wally, and Healer. Andrew is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 15 years, Linda Lee Frank-Horvath. He is also survived by his children: Chad A. Brewer (husband Alfred) of Delaware
Courtney Lee Knight (husband Jeffery Earl Knight Jr.) of Satsuma, Florida, Dakota Michael Horvath (partner Cassidy) of Palatka, Florida, Thomas Ray John Bryson (Jasmine) of St Marys GA , Nicole Ann (Colton) Glass of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Logan Hiller, Ella Lambert, Charlotte Betty Uriel Knight,Rowan Michael Horvath, Elizabeth Ann Bryson, Holly Ann Bryson, Beverly Marjorie Bryson, Amelia Glass, Stetson James Glass. In addition to his immediate family, Andy considered several godchildren as his own and loved them dearly: Bryce Harris (Amanda, Gage, and Walker) of Pomona Park, Florida Aston Elizabeth (adopted daughter) (Beau, Weston, and Oakley) of Texas, Mandee Houston (adopted daughter )(Matt) of Jacksonville, Florida Best friends, Larry and Tammy Echnos II & Family of Tennessee,& Matt (LuAnne) Ownes of Pomona Park, Florida. Cherished beloved life long friends, Tom Anderson of Pomona Park, Barney (Wendy) Harris & Famiily of Satsuma, Florida Brenda & Duane Bellar of Pomona Park Richard Moyer of Satsuma John (Janice) Berry of Crescent City, Fl Martha( Barney) & Gracie Mann of Pomona Park Andy had a strong work ethic and a heart for service. He worked for Price Brothers and Hanson for 20 plus years before moving to Five Star Industries, where he served as a foreman under a contractor for FPL for 18 years. Later, he retired to pursue his own passion as he owned and operated businesses: Horvath’s Smokehouse Family Country Cooking and Horvath’s Lawn Care Service.
A dedicated public servant, Andy volunteered for over 15 years at Fire Stations 4, 5, and 22, serving as a lieutenant and EMT. In 2012, he and his wife founded Horvath’s Smokehouse Family Country Cooking, dedicating themselves to helping others—especially those battling cancer. Together, they also supported children in need during the holidays through the Angels Amongst Us program.
Andy was a devoted husband who stood tirelessly by Linda’s side during her battle with cancer. Even while facing his own diagnosis in October 2024, he continued to work selflessly for others. On April 6, 2025, Andy asked Jesus to come into his life.
Andy’s legacy of compassion, service, and unwavering love will live on through his family, who are committed to continuing his mission of helping those in need.
