Andrea L. “Andi” Luedke

Andi passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in New Berlin, surrounded by the warmth of her family. Born on January 8, 1967, in Waukesha, Andi’s zest for life was evident from her earliest days.

A proud graduate of Mukwonago High School, Class of 1985, Andi’s pursuit of education led her to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2008. With a passion for the arts and a mind for detail, she later achieved a paralegal degree from MATC in 2014. Her academic accomplishments were a testament to her dedication and hard work.

Andi’s professional journey was marked by her compassionate nature. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, she provided care and comfort to those in need, displaying a level of empathy that only Andi could. Later, she brought her organizational skills and warm presence to the City of Milwaukee Department of Neighborhood Services and then Milwaukee County Department of Public Works, where she served as a program assistant 1, contributing to the community she cherished.

Her role as a single mother was Andi’s most cherished accomplishment. She raised her children, Amber Salfer, Brandon Salfer, Freddie Luedke, and Lily Luedke, with an unwavering strength and boundless love. Her grandchildren, Carmela Ellwart, Analeigh Ellwart, Maddie Ellwardt, and RJ Salfer, were the light of her life, and she embraced every moment spent with them.

Andi’s mother, Carol (nee Boczkiewicz) Grob, and her siblings, Renee Sandri, Warren (Tara) Grob Dall, and Matthew (Jo) Grob.  Andi will be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought into their lives, as will her nephew Riley Sandri and niece Bailey Sandri. Her large extended family and special friends will also hold onto the loving memories they shared.

A woman of many interests, Andi’s love for crafts and knitting showcased her creativity and patience. Music was one of her greatest joys, and she could often be found dancing to her favorite tunes, particularly those of country music legend Alan Jackson. Her regular visits to Panera for cheddar broccoli soup were a simple pleasure that spoke to her appreciation of life’s comforting moments.

Andi’s personality was a vibrant tapestry woven with threads of love, humor, and thoughtfulness. She was known for her sassy remarks and fun-loving spirit, which endeared her to all who knew her. Her presence could light up a room, and her laughter was infectious.

Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, October 11, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, at 11 AM, followed by the Memorial Service at 1 PM.
