Allen Haushalter

Allen L Haushalter, age 86, of Plymouth, Wisconsin, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

A husband, proud father and grandfather, loyal brother, friend, veteran and loving dog dad, Allen was a passionate fan of all Wisconsin sports. He lived a life filled with laughter and love, cherishing the simple pleasures (especially a bowl of ice cream topped with potato chips).

Born in Milwaukee, WI, Allen was the son of Ambrose and Louise Haushalter (nee Fuhr). He graduated from Messmer High School and went on to obtain a degree in Television Production from MATC. Allen began his career at WITI Channel 6, where he developed his skills in TV production. He paused his career to serve in the U.S. Army, specializing in audio/visual production for the troops. Upon returning, Allen resumed his work at TV6, where he spent 25 years and retired as Program Manager. Later, he shared his expertise with RVS Cable, Vaughn Communications and Centercom.

In retirement, Allen enjoyed social activities, like playing bar dice with friends and telling stories. His hobbies included woodworking and fixing anything mechanical. He relished a challenge and accomplishing something tangible.

Allen is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Tobolski) Knutson-Haushalter; Children – Amy Pantaleo, Jill (Dave Kolesari) Haushalter, Tressa (Matt) Knutson Bruggink, Chad (Lynn) Knutson; Grandchildren – Jack, William, Nathan, James, Mitch and Landon; his brother Warren; his nieces and nephew, cousins, family and friends.

Allen’s family would like to thank the entire staff at The Waterford at Plymouth Assisted Living for the amazing care they gave him over the past two years.

A private celebration of life will be held.
