Alice Petry

Alice F. Petry, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, at the age of 86. A lifelong resident of Springfield, she was a proud graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1957.

Following her graduation, she began a long and dedicated career at Springfield News and Sun and Bundy Baking Solutions, where she worked for many years. Known for her steady professionalism, and kind spirit, she was respected by colleagues. Alice was cherished for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering loyalty to family and friends. She will be remembered for her love of storytelling, her deep roots in Springfield, and her quiet strength.

She is survived by her husband Peter G. Petry and son William Lamar Petry. Alice is preceded in death by father Clio Edward Moore and her mother Edith Irene Godfrey: children; Denise Bean Domer, Charles Edward Bean, and Edward Arthur Petry; and her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Jim Davey.
