Alice Johnson
- June 3, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Alice Johnson, who was called to her heavenly home on May 30th, 2025. She departed this life surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion that will be cherished for generations.
Born on July 9th, 1941, Alice was a woman of deep faith and unwavering commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church. She found solace and strength in her relationship with God, his only son Jesus, and especially with the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Alice dedicated her life to her family, instilling in them values of compassion, generosity, and integrity. She was a loving mother to Michael, James, Thomas, Yancey, Gina, John, Susan, Sophia, and David, a devoted spouse to Peter Silvas and later Dave Johnson. Her warmth and inspiring spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Her proudest accomplishments were not measured in material wealth but in the love she gave freely and the faith she lived fully. One tangible accomplishment that she was particularly proud of was her Associates degree in Sociology from West Valley College. She was a beacon of positivity, hope, and strength, guiding her family through life’s challenges with wisdom and prayerful support and of course amazing food. ;>)
Her final days were marked by peace, surrounded by her beloved family and the comforting sacrament of the Catholic Church. She received the Apostolic Blessing and last rites with serene acceptance of God’s will, ready to embark on the journey to eternal life.
A funeral service and Mass will be held in her honor at St Leo’s Catholic Church in San Jose on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 with the following schedule of events:
• 1130-1200: Rosary at the Church
• 1200-1230: Viewing of the Body
• 1245: Mass
• 2pm: Burial at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery
Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating her life and offering prayers for her soul.
In lieu of flowers, please have mass said for Alice at your local church, or donate to hospice at www.withgracehospice.com
We take comfort in knowing that Alice is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her and rests in the loving embrace of our Lord. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
