Alice Ferrara

Alice Ruby (Nourse) Ferrara, 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family and pets on May 24, 2025, in Fort Plain New York.

She was born on January 27, 1948, in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of Robert and Marion (Ferguson) Nourse.

Alice lived in Johnstown and was employed by Arrow leather for many years. She retired from her professional career at Nathan Littauer Nursing Home as an Activity’s Aid in 2012.

In her free time, Alice enjoyed watching the wildlife at her home in Fort Plain, spending time with her grandchildren and sisters, taking annual Atlantic City trips and many Walt Disney World vacations. She also enjoyed doing word searches while watching Days of Our Lives consistently for over thirty years.

Alice is survived by her five children Kurt Nourse, Dondi (Kenneth) Brunetto, Shawn Ferrara, Robert (Carey) Ferrara, and Jennifer (Kevin) Subik, along with her grandchildren Corey Brunetto, Alexandria Brunetto, Sammuel Brunetto, Timothy Brunetto, Justin Ferrara, Mathew Ferrara, and Catharine Subik and her great grandson Liam Brunetto; sister in law, Diane Nourse.

She is also survived by her four siblings Robert (Shawn) Nourse, Kathy (Jay) Williams, Lisa (Larry) Ellis, and Robin Nourse. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Jonas Nourse.

Alice will always be remembered for having a strong will and love for all animals. She was a strong woman who always stood up for what was right and selflessly made sure her family never went without.

In keeping with Alice’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
