Cynthia Anne Michael Cullen, born on July 3, 1939, in Denver, CO to Charles Roy Michael and Pauline M. Michael (Maier) died April 8, 2025, at her home in Golden, Colorado. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and cherished memories. Cynthia attended St. Catherine’s school from kindergarten through 8th grade and then continued her education at Holy Family High School and Regis College. On July 6, 1963, she married the love of her life, Richard J. Cullen Jr., and together they raised six wonderful children.

Cynthia is survived by her children: Dan (Kristie) Cullen, Joe (Jill) Cullen, Cathy (Travis) Woodworth, Anne (Tracy) Dragseth, and Carol (Steve) Hopp. She was the loving wife of the late Richard J. Cullen Jr., and the devoted mother of the late Richard Patrick and Paula (Chuck, now married to Nicole) Wempe. Cynthia was a proud grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and cherished her great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Cynthia dedicated her career to teaching adult education at McClain High School, where she touched many lives with her knowledge and compassion. She had a deep appreciation for the arts, enjoying the symphony, potlucks, Holy Family luncheons with friends, and participating in book clubs. A true sports enthusiast, she was an avid supporter of the Colorado Rockies baseball team.

Her love for New Mexico was evident in the time she spent there, and she always had a passion for the state. Cynthia’s incredible love and dedication to her family were unmatched. She cherished attending her grandchildren’s events and had a special fondness for her dogs, grand dogs and animals. Traveling with her cousin brought her immense joy, and she had a well-known sweet tooth, particularly for desserts.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Golden, CO, in her memory. Cynthia’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Interment will be scheduled at a later date at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, following Cynthia’s request to donate her body to science.
