Cedar Rapids

Girl Born Rose Marie Kepler February 1st, 1977, was first introduced to our family in July 1977. She was the first child my parents fostered with her biological brother Eric (02/03/1978) was one of three they chose to adopt.

In the time between the beginning and the end, she was known as ‘Flea’ or Felicia Rose Busse. She was loved by her family and fiercely loved the friends who were family to her. She was protected while her parents lived and protective of those close to her. She fought to live. She was a mom, and an aunt, kind, supportive, and stubborn.

As a young girl she went away on many church mission trips throughout the US and Canda. She had Jesus in her heart but didn’t cry out for Him as we cried for her. She was a great kid sister full of smiles and spunk. A 1996 MHS graduate, talented athlete and treble clef musician. We would laugh together until our sides hurt and our faces were covered with tears. As kids we shared a bedroom and sometimes a bed. She had many friends, but only a few stayed long enough to say goodbye. She was little, she was loved, and she will be missed. Survivors include Sisters – Theresa and Erin, Brothers – Eric and Timothy, her children – Lexi, Christian and Junior. Preceded in death by Mom – Sharon, Dad – Ellis Maternal and paternal grandparents.
