Thomas C. “T.C.” Thompson

Thomas C. “T.C.” Thompson, 71, of Hendersonville, NC, died Saturday, August 21, 2021, at his home after years of declining health.

A native of Thomaston, GA, he was the son of the late Hoyle and Birdie Thompson.  Tommy is also preceded in death by his beloved dog, Sarah.

He had lived in Bat Cave, NC and Charlotte, NC for the past 20 years before moving to Hendersonville recently.  Tommy attended one year at the University of Georgia before enlisting in the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam Conflict.  He owned and operated Thompson Electric in Charlotte, NC and retired as V.P. of Manufacturing for Mitchum Inc. in Charlotte, NC in 2015.

Tommy was a member of the Pisgah Chapter of Trout Unlimited, a member of N.R.A., and a member of the NC Electrical Contractors Association.

He was an avid trout fisherman.  Tommy preferred the company of animals over people and often stated “I never met a dog I didn’t like.”

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sandy W. Thompson; and the VA 42 Navy “Brothers”.

A private service will be held.
