Asanee Engel
Asanee Lertsburapa Engel, M.D., age 78 of Las Vegas, NV, and of Big Rock, IL passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on April 26, 1942 in Thailand the daughter of Pratcha and Prapai (Sujarit) Akarapanich.
Asanee was united in marriage on September 5, 1973 in Elmwood Park, IL to George H. Engel, M.D. They spent the next 47 happy years together. Asanee practiced medicine (Dermatology, dermapathology and pathology), for many years, in the Chicagoland area. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt and will be deeply missed by her family and countless good friends spanning across the globe. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling.
Asanee was survived by her husband, George H. Engel, M.D. until his passing on March 24, 2021 and is survived by her children, Kathryn (Perry) of Oak Brook, IL, George J. of Oswego, IL and Anthony (Heidi) of Downers Grove, IL; her grandchildren, Maya, Giana and Caleb; her niece Sasiwan (Steve) of WA and by her brother in law, Richard (Constance) of CA .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pratcha and Prapai Akarapanich and her siblings.
