Shirley Ann Wilson

Shirley Ann Wilson, age 71, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, early Friday, March 26, 2021, while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia following a brief battle with cancer.
Born on May 13, 1949, Shirley was a daughter of the late George (Doris) Kaiser, Jr. and Ethel (Arlie) Zinn.
Prior to her retirement, Shirley worked for 34 years as an LPN. She enjoyed spending each morning on her front porch making sure the neighborhood cats and squirrels were well fed. She also spent every Saturday during racing season cheering on her son, Kevin, at Midvale Speedway. Shirley loved being able to babysit her great-grandchildren and spend time at the casinos.
She is survived by two children, Sherry (Richard) Schweitzer of New Philadelphia and Kevin (Angela) McClintock of Dover; a granddaughter, Dr. Alicia (Craig) Manly, M.D. of Massillon, her great-grandchildren, Adalynn and Logan Manly. Completing the family are her siblings, Wanda Burkhart, Linda (Mac Gribble) Schiele, Debb (Cheryl Stankiewiz) Zinn, and Shelly (Dan) Croston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Kaiser and her long-time companion, David Klar.
In keeping with Shirley’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
