Obituary: Bertha Ward
- March 11, 2021
Our beloved matriarch has spread her wings and reunited with the love of her life. Bertha S. Ward walked through the pearly gates and into the kingdom of heaven on March 4, 2021. She was not alone during her final moments. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she always had been in life.
Bertha was born on December 29, 1923 to Michalea and Benigno Sandoval. She is preceded in death by her debonair husband Paul L Ward who passed away 17 years ago, and has been eagerly waiting to see his beautiful wife Berthie. Her daughter Louise Ward also precedes her in death. She is survived by her other children, Diane Ward and Michael Ward, granddaughters Naomi Redwine(Nick) and Monica Ward. Great (mostly great) grandchildren, Alex, Paul, Jeremiah, Kaysie and Rhianna. Her dog Lola and cat Arlo.
She was a woman of great character and strength, anybody who met her fell in love with her immediately. Her tenacious, but caring ways made all those around her feel like they were a part of her home. She loved her family more than life itself, and her family loved her just as much. She was the rock and foundation of her family, but made sure that we knew how strong and important family and those you love are. Her body is gone, but she will live on forever though her family and all of her stories she enjoyed sharing.
She was a woman of wisdom, so we are sharing her top three:
Number 1: Do not go to bed or outside with wet hair, you will get a cold.
Number 2: You get what you pay for. Do not be cheap, quality over quantity.
Number 3: Never walk on a hard floor barefoot. You do not know what you may step on.
We have lost one of the most magnificent women that has ever been on this earth, so we end with this, We all love you, and you will be missed every second of everyday. Grandpa she is all yours again.
