Matt Brandt, 61, died on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, in his home in Cedar Rapids, after a 13-month battle with glioblastoma. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at St. Pius X Catholic Church by Rev. Jon Seda in Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, Iowa. A Vigil will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at Teahen Funeral Home. Those not attending the Vigil Service may visit with the family from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home or after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church.
