Albert Eugene Glazer

Albert Eugene Glazer, age 73, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, in his residence, following a period of declining health.
Born on June 20, 1949, in Port Washington, Ohio Albert was a son of the late Dale W. and Martha J. Irons Glazer.
He attended Port Washington High School and later in life earned his PhD in Complaining and a Master’s Degree in Stubbornness.
Albert held numerous jobs through the years including being the caretaker of Union Cemetery in Port Washington and retired as a Security Officer with the former AEP Conesville Plant. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, attending car shows, picking on his family and being ornery.
Surviving is his wife of 39 years, the former Betty Truex, whom he married on September 5, 1983; a daughter, Liza (Dustin) Wilcox of New Philadelphia; Bradley Yoder of New Philadelphia, whom he considered a son, his grandchildren, Sarah (fiancée, Myron Miller) Wiggins, Jesse Wiggins, Samuel Glazer, Samantha Glazer, and Riley Yoder, and his siblings, Kenny (Renne) Glazer, and Susan Shalosky as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Glazer; three brothers, Bobby, Richard, and Jimmy Glazer, and a sister, Patty Cox.
In keeping with Albert’s wishes, private services will be held with cremation to follow. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions in Albert’s name may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
