Timothy  DeWitt Wheeler

The hourglass, with its sands of time, has slowly but surely diminished, and with its passing went the life of our loved one, Timothy Dewitt Wheeler (Tiko aka Timbo), at the age 0f 56. Tiko was born on January 23, 1966, in Akron, Ohio. Tiko was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Ronald J. Wheeler, and his grandmother, Mrs. Shirley R. (Hood) Cox.
He will be remembered and cherished by his loving wife, Mrs. Faith Wheeler; son, Christian Wheeler; two daughters, Sherita Wheeler and Mrs. Charitee Kennedy-Guillory (Steve); grandsons, Immanuel, Enrique, Elijah and granddaughter, Arabella. Memories are also treasured by Timbo’s mother, Ms. Vickie J. Ward of Akron, Ohio; brother, Rodney Wheeler; sisters, Virginia Amanda Hastings, Kimberly Ann Wheeler-Peterson and Stephanie Wheeler-Lott.
Tiko was a remarkable husband, son, father & friend. If you ever met him, you were left with an extraordinary experience. He loved fishing, playing card games with his children, the Dolphins, Taz-mania, construction projects, cooking his all-time favorite lasagna for his family, grilling, NASCAR, Wendy’s on every Sunday (the KIDS knew the chicken nuggets were coming), and his all-time favorite, listening to Ole School music on The Bobby J radio show “Do it Bobby Do it!”.
Tiko graduated from Buchtel Community Learning Center Class of 1984. He served as an honorable member of the United States Navy whereas, he was a part of the Seabees Construction Battalion and served in the Gulf War. During his military career, he achieved the National Defense Service Medal; Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (3rd); M16 Rifle-Expert; Meritorious Unit Commendation; 1st Good Conduct Medal Period Ending 12Aug88; and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist. In July of 1995 he honorably
separated from his military career.

Timothy’s memories will be carried on and cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many loving extended family members & friends.
