Robert A. “Bob” Neagle, 78, of Center Point, Iowa, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2022. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Church, 316 Vine St., Center Point. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at the church. Burial will follow at Center Point Cemetery. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point is assisting the family.
Bob was born Dec. 22, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Opal (Craig) Neagle. He was united in marriage to Leslie Krumm on Aug. 17, 1963, in Center Point. Bob worked as a mechanical design manager at Rockwell Collins for 37 years until his retirement in 2005. He was a member of the Center Point Booster Club and served as president of the Center Point School Board for many years. Bob loved to golf and worked to maintain the Center Point golf course for many years as a proud shareholder. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and after retirement he helped build a small addition onto the church. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Neagle; children, Brad (Marsha) Neagle and Michele Bruehlman; grandchildren, Samantha and Ashley Neagle and Brock and Erin Bruehlman; brother, James “Jim” (Virginia) Neagle; and mother-in-law, Mary Kay Krumm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Opal Neagle; sister, Cathy Dye; father-in-law, DeWayne Krumm; and son-in-law, Gerald Bruehlman.
