Donald Giaquinto

Donald Giaquinto, 95, of Hendersonville, North Carolina died on July 15, 2022. He was born on February 5, 1927 in Arnold, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Frank and Magdalena Giaquinto. Donald was an army veteran serving in WWII,  a graduate of Duquesne University and went on to have a successful career as an accountant with PPG industries. He was an avid reader throughout his life. He also enjoyed oil painting and proudly shared his artwork with family and friends.

Donald is survived by three daughters, Carol (Michael) Keenan of Asheville, NC, Cynthia (Mark) Risinger of Indiana, PA, and Nancy (Phillip) Hobbs of McMurray, PA. He was the proud “Poppy” to five grandchildren, Allison (Quincy) Gerrald, Emily (Phillip) Cannady, Lauren Hobbs, Hannah Hobbs and Rachel Hobbs and four great grandchildren, Gracyn and Claire Gerrald and Brett and Emerson Cannady. Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ethel Giaquinto of 69 years.

Charitable donations can be made to support hospice services at the Four Seasons Foundation at 211 North Main Street, Hendersonville 28792.

A funeral service will be held at noon on July 25, 2022, in the chapel of the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Interment to follow.
