Michael S. Rennewanz

Michael S. Rennewanz, age 74 of Yorkville, IL passed away on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. He was born on October 16, 1947 in Detroit Lakes, MN.  He was preceded in death as the son of Leonardo and Ella (Arneson) Rennewanz.

Michael was united in marriage on August 11, 1972 to Christine Capron and they spent the next 49 years happily together. Mr. Rennewanz was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy retiring after 23 years with the rank of MMC. During the War in Vietnam, Mike saw 3 years of active combat in the Mekong Delta. It was during his years of service that he received his training as a HVAC Engineer that led to a long, respected career as an industry specialist. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #1578 in Woodridge, IL.  Mike was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Michael is survived by his wife, Christine Rennewanz of Yorkville, IL; his children, Nicolle (William Ulewicz) Rennewanz of North Aurora, IL and Daniel (Lynn) Rennewanz of Oswego, IL; his sister, Cheryl Brown of SC and also several loving nieces and nephews.

A private interment ceremony with Military Honors will take place at a later date in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
