Dennis Duane Arp, 72, of Brunswick, MO, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. A memorial service will be held at Zion Church of Indian Grove on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Mark Schuchmann will officiate the service. A visitation will precede the service at the church from 9:30 – 11:00 A.M. Burial will be held at Zion Cemetery.

Dennis was born on June 28, 1953 in Brookfield, MO, the son of Darrell and Mary (Joseph) Arp. In 1971, he graduated from Keytesville high school. On January 29, 1972, Dennis was united in marriage to the love of his life, Margo DeWeese, at the Brunswick Christian Church. Together they were blessed with two sons, Brian and Shannon.

Dennis was a lifelong sheet metal worker who started in 1973 and continued until his retirement in 2008. After his retirement, Dennis drove a school bus for the Brunswick R-II school district and also worked for the Brunswick Budweiser distributorship. Dennis was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local #2 and an active member of the Zion Church of Indian Grove. Throughout the years, Dennis served on the church’s board, taught Sunday school, went on mission trips to Haiti, and participated in the cleanup efforts in Joplin, MO. Dennis loved spending time with his family, working in his shop, taking care of his home, and fishing.

Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of the home, Margo; two children, Brian Arp of Columbia, MO and Shannon Arp and his wife Samantha of Independence, MO; three grandchildren, Madeline, Izzy, and Rory; two sisters, Debbie Jackson and her husband Jon of Leawood, KS and Denise Blackwell and her husband Rod of Huntsville, MO; and his father-in-law, Major DeWeese of Brunswick, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Mary; one brother, Rick; and his mother-in-law, Minnie DeWeese.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Meade, Bob Burton, Richard Thieman, Larry Pollard, Wayne DeWeese, Nick Hartman, and Greg Elliott.

Memorials are suggested to Zion Church of Indian Grove and/or Family Choice. Donations may be left at Breshears Memorial Chapel or mailed to the funeral home at 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
