Janet Maines

Janet Estella Maines, 89, of DuBois, PA., passed away on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born December 21, 1935, to Albert and Adeline (Hoover) Anderson in Clearfield, PA.

Janet graduated from Morris Township High School class of 1954.

On September 28, 1957, she married Ronald Maines in Morrisdale, PA. He proceeded her in death in 2005.

Janet retired from the Federal Government as a manager, was an avid bridge player, enjoyed a good book, enjoyed socializing with her friends and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

She is survived by a loving family, daughter Jerre (Jeffery) Engelmann of Munson, PA., a son Michael (Debbie) Maines of Greenville, Michigan, three grandchildren, Misty Arnett, Shane Maines and Dante Engelmann and eight great- grandchildren.

Janet was the last surviving member of her family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband and four siblings: Andy, Bill, Jane and Lanche.

As per Janet’s wishes all services are private.

Interment will take place in Crown Crest Cemetery Hyde, PA.
