Timothy Andrew “Tim” White, 59, of County Route 17, Russell died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, July 21, 2025 after an apparent heart attack.
Calling hours for family and close friends will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home, 21 Park Street, Canton. Additional off-street parking is available behind “LUNA” at 18 Park Street.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 1:00 PM at 799 County Route 17, Russell (Tim’s Home).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House in Syracuse.
Tim was born a son to Carol White Potter and the late James Frances White in Massena NY on April 24, 1966. He graduated Massena High School in 1984 where he was on the Rifle Team.
After graduation Tim was employed at Bogosian’s Flooring in Massena for 13 years. He then started his career with Corning Glass where was a glass finishing operator, or as his co-workers would say he was an “Optical Polishing Expert.” Tim also held the Finishing Shop Steward position in the past and was currently an Inside Guard.
On October 6, 2001 he married his beloved Jennifer Carlson in the Sacred Heart Church in Massena. The couple were married nearly 24 years.
In addition to his mother Carol and his Wife Jennifer, he is survived by his 5 children: Heather (Adam) Kerr, Andrew White, Evie White, Mason White and Carson White; a brother David (Paula) White; 2 sisters Theresa (Steven) Parkinson and Virginia Clary; 2 grandchildren Owen and Theo Kerr; 5 nieces and nephews; and his golden retriever “Sergeant James”.
He was predeceased by his father James, his step-father Cecil Potter and his brother-in-law Steven Clary.
Tim defined the word fun and was the biggest kid at heart. He enjoyed Old Man’s Softball or “The Last Stop”; hunting, playing golf, card games like poker, watching his kids sporting events and of course story telling.
