Michael Spain

Michael Lee Spain, age 63, of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at his home. He was born September 3, 1962 in Farmington, Missouri, the son of the late Adele Catherine (nee Boyer) and George Paul Spain.

He is survived by his daughter Felicia (Matt) Godier of Festus, Missouri; grandchildren Richard and Hunter; sister Debbie (Dana) Vandiver of Springfield, Missouri; uncles David (Betty) Kennedy and James A. Boyer; nieces and nephews James (Merrily) Vandiver, Stephanie (Steven) Erickson and Paul Vandiver; and 7 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandparents Clyde and Virginia Spain and William T. and Leora A. Boyer.

Michael worked as a truck driver for Schneider Trucking before retiring. He was a member of American Legion #253, Mississippi River Eagles Post and the Glassworkers Country Club.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 3:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. at American Legion Post #253, 849 American Legion Drive, Festus, Missouri 63028. Memorials in Michael’s memory may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
