She was born on November 13, 1947 and grew up on Larimer Avenue, in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh.
Linda found great joy in her work for many years as a teacher’s aide at Saint Alexis Catholic School, where she touched the lives of many children with her care and kindness. As a devoted member of the Ladies of Charity, Linda took pride in helping others and giving back to her community. She cherished time spent playing cards with her close friends. Enjoying the simple comforts of home-especially relaxing in her favorite green chair with her beloved dog Bentley, and watching NCIS was a favorite pastime. Her warmth, creativity and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Nancy (Polino) DeMauro, her beloved husband, Anthony James Pusateri Jr. and her sisters, who were her greatest strength, Katherine Allshouse, Marion DeMauro, and Patricia Carson, also her fun loving brothers, Lou and Frank DeMauro. All of whom she deeply missed.
She leaves behind her devoted children, ToniLynn(Mike) McGaw, Nancy(Ty) Musser, Anthony James, III, (Mike) Pusateri, and Lisa (Bill) Schneider.
Her beloved grandchildren include;
Michael, who will “miss passing her and chatting outside at 4am when she just woke up and he headed to bed” Anthony, who will always remember her “cheering, and ringing the cowbell loudly during his soccer games”
Cole’s fondest memory is “always going over to Gram’s house when we were at the pool for snacks and drinks to hang out”
Sara, who will cherish “helping her organize all of the hidden Christmas presents into groups while pulling them out of every corner of her house”
Mareena, whose favorite memories include “having sleepovers at Gram’s house in the summer with Sara, where we would watch movies and eat snacks…all while Grandma would be hitting the DVD player because it wasn’t working”
Robert, who “loved watching The Price is Right with her while she babysat us”
and last but not least her sweet baby James who loved when Gram would sing “buckle up for safety, buckle up, when we would get in the car”
Also two step grandsons Drew and Ben who were a special addition to her family. Linda additionally leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends, whom she loved dearly.
In accordance with Linda’s wishes, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday July 10, 2025 at 10:30 am at Sts. Martha and Mary Parish-St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 2554 Wildwood Road, Allison Park PA 15101. Interment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
