Barbara Cano

Barbara Cano passed away Sunday July 20, 2025. She was a loving wife of Luis Cano for almost 40 years. She leaves behind her son, James Cano, and daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Cano and Michael Colon.

Barbara was highly respected at her place of work for over 30 years, The Henry Viscardi Center. She was a generous-hearted and a kind-spirited woman, highly regarded by her numerous friends and neighbors. As an H. Frank Carey Alumni, she was a vital asset in planning the Class of ’72 50 year reunion.

She has been described by many as a “sweetheart” because of her gentle, thoughtful ways and for her sweet disposition. She enjoyed quilting and reading and spending time with her two beloved dogs, Buddy and Junior. Barbara will be greatly missed
