Stephen Kirby

Stephen Ray Kirby, age 57, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

He was born on June 5, 1968 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Larry Joe Kirby and Molly Gatlin.

Stephen was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved his job as a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Kirby; brother, Larry Kirby; and sister, Marsha Kirby.

He is survived by his son, David Riggs; three daughters, Amber Swiney, Taron Zarate and Marilynn Riggs; sister, Rhonda Kirby; and grandchildren, Jaycee, Summer, Audrie, Hatten, Adrianna, Gabby, Jazlynn, Bryce, Grace, Braxden, MaKayla and Adam.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
